Proper sorting of waste (garbage) in Germany

Germany is one of the examples of conscientious waste disposal.

Registration of the waste bin

You will often hear that you need to register a trash can. This is your application for waste collection. In most cases, only the owner of the apartment or his representative can make an application, you as a tenant, always need the signature of the property owner on the request for garbage cans. When moving, the bin/bins should be checked out.

Prices?

Other waste is charged according to the size of the trash can, i.e. according to the number of household members. The sizes of the bins are 80, 120 and 240 l. There are also bigger ones, but you don’t need them. Prices vary from place to place and can differ by up to 400%.
